Beautiful picture!
And, just to add to that quote:
“Do one thing every day that scares you.”
-Eleanor Roosevelt, 1884 – 1962
Where was this photo taken?
It’s in Kew Gardens which is a big horticultural park in the west of London. There’s an exhibition of Moore’s work there at the moment.
Thank you for sharing that quote. Great photo as well.
In the league of great photography.
Commanding the scene by shooting ‘in’ the scene.
One can imagine themselves leaping into the photo,
sliding down, up and around, out the oval
skew, into the land of kew.
When I was 18 I knew I wanted to be a gardener and have spent the last 23 years working in other peoples gardens and creating one of my own. Its taken all these years of gardening to come to a very simple understanding. That life is like a compost heap! One puts all sorts of unrelated items in to a pile. Then over time and with the help of certain things like microrganisms, worms, heat and moisture this rather chaotic mix turns into a wornderful homogenous and totally ordered end product. This constant sway between chaos and order is necessary. Its how we ride the swings is what gives our life meaning and purpose. That is why working and obsessing about what you really are intrested in is one of the corner stones of happiness. It takes a long time to learn the simplest of things! Thanks for your generous and honest blog, it is a real gem.
Deliciously, enviably stunning photo.
