This is a terrific series on the beauty, ugliness
(ugliness in the sense of pain, sweat and struggle)
and challenge involved in creating dance. It’s always
nice to see your perspective on life and the arts through
your photos and writings. You bring insight, joy and love
into what you share with us.

    hi ali ..

very sweet pics .. i some times wonder that there has to be a lot of acting going in this art form coz there is sheer physical work yet the expression on face must always remain so much part of act . to express by body has such a release that i am sure they must have a great joy to go for it . while some people accuse the dancers to go for eating disorders they have a hard time to remain attractive yet sound healthy .. is there a balancing formula . i mean we did loved tom cruise till he start talking about sinto.. so is it true that beautiful people could not have high oppenions ?
keep on doing great work ..
    we love you

Being only familiar with and a fan of Cash in the Attic, I had no idea as to the
depth, insight and beauty of your work. I’m so glad I Googled you and found
you to be an inspiration to gay men everywhere. Keep up the poignant and
    insightful work!

    Hi Alistair,

I stumbled on your site quite by chance, and have read every word.
You write thoughtfully and quite beautifully – you make me think.
Thank you. I am only just finding out about Buddhism and find you

Ballet is wonderful to watch, don’t you think? The movement, flow and elegence… love the series of photos you snapped.
I also wanted to say that I love your essays and blog. I read that article Happy Monk and it was pretty good. Went to a Obon Festival this past weekend and thought about the article and of you.
Anyways, hope all is well. Cheers!
