They like to crawl about your head and let you know they’re at least at your level but more likely aboveit. Cats are lofty animals. Looks like the history of some place or family. I think I should like to have one of those large portaits done so my family will have to forever hang it in home. More likely they’d relegate it to the bath or the broom closet. Bruce McHalfwit December 2, 2005 at 11:47 pm Reply Dear Alistair Dimples Is that Basil Brush on your shoulder ? Kaj December 3, 2005 at 12:53 am Reply Alistair, are you the photographer of the pictures. They inspire me to go out with my camera. Could you say a little bit about taking pictures. It looks like you were doing a shoot at a stately home (not mine, that’s for sure). Love the photos, cropping and juxtapositions. Please treat us to more. Greets from the middle of the United States. Lee December 5, 2005 at 10:45 pm Reply Thought that was some sort of redneck earring for a minute, but it is of course a cat. My mistake. Pamela December 10, 2005 at 3:47 am Reply Allistair , you are absolutely amazeing !!. I have enjoyed reading your site so much , and hearing about your travels and experiences. I hope someday I can travel and do even a small number of the things you have gotten to do. It warms me to know there are still good, kind, loveing , and gentel people out there such as yourself. You make me laugh , and you make my heart smile. Also , just wondered why you had left cash in the attic. They have made a really bad choice in your replacement . It is kind of like they gave me a Pepsi when I asked for a glass of wine. Anyway , I guess I just miss seeing you thats all. Bye for now. Loaf December 11, 2005 at 1:06 am Reply Hiya Al First of all the hedge had me thinking Tatton Park in Cheshire. then the windows are vaguely reminiscent of Berkeley Castle Nr Bristol (but the stonework is the wrong colour)…. grrrr. If you are doing a series of films (Stately suppers?)perhaps you could us have a guess. BTW I love blogs. Reading your ayahuasca experiences was very humbling, humble and honest. Thanks, but beware the church of the adorable smile! xx A, Boyd December 11, 2005 at 10:31 pm Reply I hope yhat by now you’ve had already seen Brokeback Mountain. I told wrote to you telling you about it about three months ago when I first saw it. Off course I don’t have to tell you that I absolutely loved it. When I first went to see it I had no clue what it was all about. It caught me by surprise. I think I wept for like an hour. Heath Ledger’s performanxe still haunts me till this day. You know I consider you to be The most beautiful man on earth. So I wish for you great happinness. May you spend your days living in your own Brokeback Mountain. I am almost 47 and yet as soon I heard ‘Take Me Out’ I felt like a teenager again. I haven’t been to a concert in years but I think I will part with the dosh the next time FF is available. For your amusement, check out an article from NYC’s Village Voice. http://www.villagevoice.com/news/0428,sheffield,55027,1.html The writer, Rob Sheffield, manages to capture their sex appeal in a way that makes me smile every time I think of it. Cheers! (And thanks for the beautiful photos, as always.) michael December 27, 2005 at 7:48 pm Reply hi alistair, the randomness of your pics are great. the clarity and crispness of the camera is stunning can you let me know or post on here what camera it is that you use. I’m sheepishly and reluctantly taking my first steps into digital photography (always been an old school manual pentax “purist”) thanks Valerie December 31, 2005 at 6:35 pm Reply Just popping in to wish New Year Greetings to all. Off to work, my town is having a First Night celebration, but oops can’t call it that beacuse that name is trademarked and we didn’t know. So now we’ll call it Last Night as it really is the last night of the year. So HAPPY NEW YEAR to all and hope it brings satisfaction and good feelings to all. Love your shows, its too bad you left cash in the atic, or have you? anyways, you are one of the most articulated TV hosts i know, so keep up the good work. Cheers. From your fans in Canada. Stinger January 7, 2006 at 4:47 pm Reply All this fawning – I feel like I need an insulin shot! Let’s just say you’re okay. Okay, more than okay. Okay, I’m fawning, too. Loaf January 12, 2006 at 9:42 am Reply Its hard not to fawn, but we must be strong. Valerie January 12, 2006 at 9:18 pm Reply Yes, I’ve cut back on the drooling and have tried to cut back on the fawning. I have Alistair on my desk top so a quick glance now and then keeps the fawning on an even keel. Olivier Casimir April 12, 2006 at 2:41 pm Reply Dear Alistair Appleton, I can hardly describe what you embodie for my mum and I: England. More than just being gordeous, you seem to be a nice and gentle man (what I am sure you are). Guess what: I feel in love, just then and there, by watching “Cash In The Attic” on BBC Prime… Should you be on the atlantic coast, near Arcachon (France), let’s have a cup of tee! (and lunch, of course!) Best wishes Leave a Reply to wigetz Cancel Notify me of follow-up comments by email. Notify me of new posts by email.
