Anna September 14, 2005 at 2:51 am Reply You are a splendid photographer, I love it that you’re updating so much! ~Anna Valerie September 14, 2005 at 6:41 am Reply I always wonder about those sidewalk chalk drawings. Does it take an artists mind to draw them or a mathematical mind. Or a combination of both. Just curious. It’s great this time of the year when the sunflowers are ripening and producing a food source for man and beast. Always enjoy the photos. Thanks qatt September 14, 2005 at 8:17 pm Reply Valerie, What drawings? :/ Valerie September 15, 2005 at 1:32 pm Reply qatt, that picture in the lower right is a sidewalk drawing. I know it looks like a puddle of water but its really a chalk drawing optical illusion. A friend sent me an email full of them. You have to look at them at the correct angle to get the full effect. Valerie September 15, 2005 at 1:33 pm Reply Or maybe it really is just a puddle of water and I’m have hallucinations kt September 18, 2005 at 10:07 pm Reply Hey Valerie, You should check out the work of M.C. Escher. He combined mathematics and imagination to create outstanding artwork. Valerie September 19, 2005 at 3:39 pm Reply Thanks, I am familiar with Escher. Georgia September 24, 2005 at 11:05 am Reply I have a feeling its just a puddle of water! Valerie September 24, 2005 at 11:34 pm Reply Alistair you’ll have to settle this. Is it a optical illusion chalk drawing or is it just a puddle of water with a reflection? Thanks julesnemo September 24, 2005 at 11:54 pm Reply It’s a puddle with the reflection having been lighted by the sun. estupor September 26, 2005 at 1:00 pm Reply I’m in London now, very close to the place where you did the pictures, if you want we can meet to take pictures together, it would be an honour and a pleausure to meet you. dfleer October 9, 2005 at 5:22 pm Reply Where is this intersection?
